Spin Doctors Cancel Nine Concerts in Europe, as Lead Singer Chris Barron Diagnosed With Temporary Callous on Vocal Chord
Spin Doctors, fresh off their triumphant national television appearance on CONAN (TBS,) have announced the cancellation of nine concerts in Europe, as lead singer Chris Barron is diagnosed with a temporary callous on his vocal chord.  Barron is expected to make a full recovery.
According to Manager Jason Richardson of DAS Communications, “Chris wasn’t feeling well & went to see a throat specialist in San Diego, during our recent West Coast tour.  The doctor examined him using a medical camera, and told Chris that he has developed a temporary callous on one of his vocal chords & needs to go on complete vocal rest immediately for a month, no singing, to avoid damaging his voice. Chris is an energetic, dynamic performer, and he’s been delivering the best shows of his long career. He looks forward to hitting the road with Spin Doctors again once the callous heals.  Until then, with much regret, we must cancel our four Spanish shows this week & postpone the first leg of our European fall tour, from Sept 25th through October 1st, in order to give Chris time to recuperate. We are hopeful that we will be able to reschedule these dates sometime early in the New Year.
